The Technical University of Liberec (TUL) is the only university in the Liberec Region with 7 faculties and one professional institute. Despite the name, it has a wide range of disciplines from engineering, to pedagogy, economics, architecture to the medical field, and has more than 200 partner institutions around the world. The university was founded in 1953 under the name of the University of Engineering in Liberec.
